Across the country, businesses report persistent labor shortages in sectors that rely on precision, analytical thinking, and pattern recognition. At the same time, many autistic professionals remain significantly underemployed.
This is not only a social issue. It is a competitiveness issue.
Our discussion explored how public policy, employer leadership, and stronger collaboration with organizations working directly in this space can translate awareness into measurable economic participation.
Through my work with Autism Workforce Solutions, my goal is to help bridge that gap between policy conversations and practical implementation in the labor market.
